UPDATE: Now that the antennas have been moved we are simply waiting on the NOV from Ofcom. If you would like to volunteer to help us put the antennas up, please let me know. You can send me a message through the contact us section of the web and choose Chair as recipient.
The repeater has now been taken over by Steve M0RQD and am now looking for the support and donations from its users in the same way that Paul G4IKI did to keep it running.
We hope to have the repeater back on the air within the next 2 weeks or so and have purchased all the equipment from Paul to get it back on the air as soon as we can. Once its back on the air we will obtain the DR2 repeater from Yaesu who have kindly offered to loan us the unit and then we will start the process of swapping it over and also look at adding C4FM to the repeater.
I have had offers of support and will be in touch with you all over the next couple of weeks to form a repeater group so that we can spread the responsibilities. There will be some members from the IOWRS and some that are not (why anyone wouldn’t want to be I don’t know!)
