The Members Hub is the part of the website reserved for the exclusive use by Club Members. There is much more information in the Hub than can be found in the public part of the website and whilst in the Hub you still have access to the public part, you will find that some parts of the public part now have additional information visible only to Members.
There are several areas within the Hub:-
The messaging part
Which comes in two flavours (a) direct member to member private messaging and (b) a collection of public Forums pre setup. Some are intended for everyone as in club announcements, but most are for specific interest groups. You can join any of the Forums except the web group and the Committee Forum.
Messages left in the messaging area are automatically forwarded onto private e-mail accounts as a notification.
The talks archive
Contains recordings of talks given to the Club so that even if you missed one, you can still re-run it afterwards.
The Shop
Is where a number of Club branded items are on sale, principally clothing. Items can be ordered and paid for through the website and delivered shortly after at a Friday night or by alternative arrangements.
The Market Place
Is where items can be bought and sold by Members to other Members and it operates as additional Forums.
The Chat Room
Is an open Members messaging system, similar to talking through a repeater.
The Governance area
Is where the Committee business takes place, where all the Club policies and guidelines are maintained and the finances are managed. Some of this information is by its nature somewhat restricted.
