The Marconi Net
Every 2nd Saturday of the month is the Marconi Net, this is a cooperation between GOTAhams Amateur Radio Club in the USA and the Isle of Wight Radio Society.
Starting at 19:00 GMT / UTC (or 20:00 BST) the WG6OTA repeater on Sunset Ridge, in Southern California, will be linked to the GB3IW repeater on the Isle of Wight. (Approximately 5,425 miles between repeaters)
The Californian end is organised by Bill, KF4MCG, an American Member of the Isle of Wight Radio Society. He is very enthusiastic and generates a lot of interest in America – Thank you Bill.
