The following video tutorial explains how we manage risk within IOWRS. All Committee Members and all Activity Leaders are required to watch the latest version of this video (i.e. the one here) on initial appointment, and annually thereafter for as long as they retain a leadership role within the Society.
The following Base Risk Register covers most activities which are routinely undertaken by the IOWRS. In any activity planning, reference should be made to this in the first instance. Click the button if you wish to download a copy; but do remember that only the latest on-line version is authoritative.
If activity planning identifies one or more risks which are not already captured in the Base Risk Register, then the management of those additional risks must be documented in an Appendix to the Base Risk Register. The template for all such appendices will be found at the bottom of this page
Use the following template to document the management of all risks which are not already in the Base Risk Register, and which have been identified during activity planning. Click the button to download the spreadsheet form. Save it with a unique name, version number, and date.
When completing the Activity Risk Register, take care to maintain the general style of the Base Risk Register, to which it will be appended.
