The airwaves came alive on [27-1-24] as ham radio operators across the nation tuned in for the third edition of “145 Alive.”

This event, dedicated to revitalizing the 2m band with various nets on different frequencies, marked a significant milestone in fostering connectivity within the amateur radio community.

Special thanks to the net controllers, for their dedication and perseverance, especially in the cold weather. Their efforts ensured smooth communication and contributed to the overall success of the event.

The “145 Alive” event not only reinvigorated the 2m band but also created lasting connections among ham radio enthusiasts.

The clubs very own John M7OPD made his beam antenna and spent an enjoyable time on the hill by Black Gang Chine making contacts all along the south coast. Great job John!
